Christmas Report 2015

It is with hearts filled with joy that we inform you about the Christmas Celebration of St Mary’s School held on Sunday 13th December, 2015 at 11.30 A.M. I wholeheartedly thank you for your prayer and support.
The Program started with Condolences to Three extra-Ordinary Human beings who passed away in recent days, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Bishop Dr. Rt. Rev. M.C. Mani, and Rev. A.C Oommen, followed by a Silent Prayer.
Rev. Sr. Thankamma Varkey welcomed the dignitaries including Dr. J. Alexander IAS, Rev. Dr. John Samuel Raj (Principal of United Theological Collage, Bangalore) , Dr. Roy Mathews, Ms. Miriam Mathews,  Dr. Sreejith Abraham, R. Krishnamurthy and all the guests for their prayer and the support for  the educational venture of Global Vision Trust International in uplifting the downtrodden people in the vicinity.
Mrs. Shirley Jacob, Founder and Chief Fucntionary of Jacob Ladder and former Principal of St. Mary’s Primary School anchored and oversaw the event. As in earlier years, Mr. J. Alexander, I.A.S., Former Chief Secretary of the Govt of Karnataka and former Minister of Tourism graced the occasion with his presence. In his address as Chairperson, he pointed out very tersely in Kannada that Christmas symbolizes caring, sharing and giving. He maintained that the thrust of caring and compassion has compelled Global Vision Trust to take under their umbrella the poor and the needy.

The Nursery to 5th std children presented a Christmas drama. The students of Grades I to IV presented a medley of songs the highlight of which is a choreographed songs in Hindi, English and Kannada. The  children who are studying in 6, 7, 8 & 9 presented a dance. The thrust of the song urged us to be bright beacons of light in this dark world. There were other lively, lilting tunes of Christmas rendered. Volunteer Claus Mueller presented and concluded the event with vote of thanks. Mrs. Shirley Jacob, Former Principal of St. Mary’s Primary School anchored and oversaw the event.
